A Human Resources veteran, Suresh Menon first joined the company in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Atlantis, The Palm. He was responsible for the hiring and training of over 3,500 team members from over 70 countries, which was a major contributing factor for the successful opening and positioning of the resort. Suresh successfully set-up the entire Human Resources Department, including Learning and Development, Remuneration and Benefits, HR Administration, Health & Safety, Employee Residences, Government Relations and Employee Marketing. After three years of outstanding effort, Suresh had the opportunity to join the Onyx Hospitality Group in Thailand as The Chief People Officer / Executive Vice President, Human Resources. While at Onyx Hospitality, he was also responsible for setting up the Human Resources function for the group covering South East Asia, China, Hong Kong and Middle East. This included company structure and levels, designing and developing the competency framework and the Performance Management system, an on-line system, Compensation & Benefits structure, including the Bonus and Incentive Plan, HR database, Health & Safety, Employee Marketing, managing Industrial Relations, Recruitment & Selection processes and Policies & Procedures.
Prior to joining the Executive Team at Atlantis, The Palm, Suresh was with TSA in Singapore as the Director of Operations. He led a team of trainers across Australia, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe where he developed new programmes, ensured quality of existing programmes and continued to review, design and disseminate training programmes across the region.

Suresh began his career with Hyatt International, where he spent almost 17 years in various positions across Human Resources, first in Southeast Asia and then for the Pacific Region covering Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Fiji.

He was responsible for all aspects of HR for the group in the region, including training and developing all senior personnel for the hotels in his region, recruiting and selecting for the senior positions, developing and managing compensation and benefits programmes for all levels of staff, staff welfare and communications, industrial relations and being an advisor to senior management on all HR matters, to name some of the key functions. He has also been actively involved in designing and planning the delivery of various Training Programmes, covering Leadership, Management and Sales.
Mr Suresh has also successfully opened hotels in Asia and Australia, set up the HR function for various establishments, such as Charles Schwab Australia and effectively managed training centres. Completely familiar with Performance Management systems, he has successfully implemented and drove the implementation in many organizations. In addition, he has also run his own HR Consulting business out of Australia working with a variety of organizations.
Mr. Suresh Menon was also an adjunct faculty member of the Sydney Graduate Management School lecturing in Strategic Human Resources for MBA students both in Sydney and in Asia-Pacific.
