Martin Lowe is the head of the Industrial Design Department in your company and he makes an appointment to see you as the head of HR and wants your advice and guidance with regard to the young promising new executive that was hired about a year ago. At the meeting he tells you that he is at loss as to what to advice him with regard to an issue he brought up to you at your last meeting. On enquiring he tells you that his mentee, Riaz Amir confided to you that he has realised that he is gay and being a Muslim and coming from a conservative family, he doesn't know what to do. Moreover, he recently met someone with whom he has started a relationship. Riaz wanted Martin’s assistance in how to deal with this situation as it is really affecting his work and performance. Riaz also wanted to know the company’s policy on LGBTQI and if his career will be affected if his sexuality is out in the open.Not having dealt with a similar situation previously,

Martin wanted your guidance and advice how to deal with it and what sort of assistance he can provide Riaz. What advice would you give Martin?
